The Museum is seeking a studio photographer with exceptional digital retouching skills and a minimum of 2 years of experience in art object/fashion photography, studio/on location lighting and medium format digital cameras. The Museum Photographer will be involved in a dynamic, creative environment and must be able to effectively coordinate a range of high volume projects. Experience in styling on or off figure fashion, portraiture and installation/architecture photography is a plus. The candidate must have strong communication skills, be extremely organized, be a proactive problem solver, be very detail oriented, and work well with others.
The photographer’s primary responsibility is the photographic documentation, digital post-production, and digital archiving of original works of art in the museum’s Costume and Textiles, and Prints, Drawings and Photography collections. Additional duties may include photographing exhibitions/installations and related events, occasional portrait work, and the maintenance of the studio and its related photography equipment.
